"This Song" always makes me smile. That and his laughing take of "Miss O'Dell" are two of my go-to songs when I'm feeling down. For me, it's impossible to listen to either and not laugh.
"This Song" is also a more lighthearted, less self-pitying version of "Only a Northern Song."
PS -- I'm not sure George really lost, though. He paid a token amount of $ and won hands down in the court of public opinion. In the end, that adds up to a victory in my book, and hopefully in his.
