I’m wondering if I should continue with the LP>Play lists. What do you think? Please click on the ‘Start Survey’ button to answer five multiple-choice questions, or use the comment button below if you wish to expand on any thoughts about the playlists.
It takes a while to curate a list – to find the tracks, sequence them, post links and write even a short paragraph about the music and/or the artists involved. It is a pleasure to do, and a number of you are kind enough to touch the ‘like’ button, but it does take away from my writing time. Writing is why I started here (but I have an equal love of music, which is why I added a playlist.) I’ve also noticed that I lose a few subscribers when I post a playlist! I don’t want to make this a pure numbers game (ask my school maths teachers; numbers and my brain don’t mix), but it feels as if that statistic is telling me something.
The survey is open for three days from the date of thos post and will only take a couple of minutes to complete. As a reminder, this is the latest LP>Play, #051.
All of the previous playlists are in the ‘LP’ archive and can be found under my name on the streaming services.
Over to you. I’ll report back when the results are in.
Thank you!
Ian
Have completed the survey. Personally I enjoy the playlists. I appreciate that it does take time to time to write the verbiage. But I do listen to the playlists and read the notes even if I don’t always comment!
Always dig your playlists, Ian. New artists, cool songs, deep tracks, etc. You drop a Caravan track on us? Whoa. Not many folks know or play that prog juggernaut. I will definitely do a deep dive into their catalog this week. My fave album by them is Girls Who Grow Plump In the Night. Tull is a favorite. Stoked that they reissued Still Living in the Past. Nice Bruford track. I love, love, love the Yes cover; I didn't know of that band, but I'm a sucker for new readings of classic covers. (As you know too well, I released a whole album of 'em last year.) I'm currently grooving on the new remastered Rhino release of Television's Adventure. Picked up a super clean copy of Leon Russel's debut on Shelter Records. A must-own slab o' vinyl, IMHO. Jeff Beck's "Orange" album; I finally found a "clean" copy. Why has that album never been reissued with bonus tracks? Waiting on the arrival of Little Feat's expanded Dixie Chicken 3-LP set. That will be on my turntable later today.
