Thank you, Gina. Yes, Budgie. I’ll definitely find a space for them. I lived in Wales for a few years so there’s a lose connection for me (Man/Deke Leonard as well).

You sure come up with some obscure stuff! Kudos.Someday I'd like to see Budgie mentioned on a playlist. They were a bit obscure and certainly overshadowed by bigger names back in the day but I truly think they had an influence on the young musicians who would go on to form the band Rush. Budgie was an under appreciated band but they will always have a place on my turntable, along with so many others.

Thanks again, Howard. This one involved plenty of listening and changes of mind. At the same time I've been hatching some new appoaches to 'LP'; nothing too radical, but offering more, I hope. Coming in late March.

Meanwhile, I dno't say often enough how your thoughtful, heartfelt approach is inspiring, in both the writing and the listening.

Again your playlists feel and more like a maps of enduring musical signals—artists separated by decades but sharing the same emotional bandwidth.

What struck me most is how naturally the sequence treats legacy voices and newer ones as part of a single continuum rather than different eras. Nothing here is chasing relevance; it’s all simply remaining present, which is much rarer.

There’s a quiet confidence in this kind of curation—letting tone, space, and feeling do the connective work instead of genre labels. A deeply satisfying listen.

Top.

Good to see Al Green still out there singing. And Van? I don't know how he does it...
